Our tour departs
Cairns at 7.30am and progresses north along the coastline
via the Captain Cook Highway to the township of Mossman.
Along the way we call into Port Douglas before arriving at
beautiful Mossman Gorge where you enjoy a guided rainforest
walk and may swim in the crystal clear water. We then travel
further north to the Daintree River where morning tea is
provided before embarking on a one hour river cruise.
Wildlife abounds on the river (birds, snakes, frogs, flying
fox) and crocodiles are seen in the water and lazing on the
banks during the cooler months.
After the river cruise, we travel up to spectacular
Alexander Range Lookout before arriving at Cow Bay for a
barbecue, lunch of steak/fish, salads and tropical fruits.
Enjoy a refreshing swim at our private swimminghole while
lunch is cooking. After the lunch stop, we travel further
north to the isolated Cape Tribulation Beach where we take a
walk along the beach and up the Lookout. Upon leaving Cape
Tribulation, we return south to the Maardja Boardwalk for a
one hour guided walk through the Cape Tribulation National
Park. After the walk, you will be offered afternoon tea
before travelling on to the Valley of the Palms. We leave
the Palms to continue our journey back to the Daintree
River.
Upon arriving at the Daintree River, the vehicle and
passengers will cross by Cable Barge and then continue south
along the scenic coastal route to Cairns.
