Commence your one day
trek to the outback. Traveling south you will join up with
the Gillies Highway through the picturesque Mulgrave Valley.
Along the way you will stop at Heales Lookout which provides
excellent photograph opportunities. Continuing west you will
pass the large extinct volcanic crater - Bloomfield Swamp.
This is renowned for its extensive birdlife. Stopping at
Ravenshoe, a small timber-milling town and then on to Mt.
Garnet known for it's gem fields, you then enter into the
region of the Gulf Savannah. |

Relax and take in the
peaceful surroundings before enjoying a sumptuous buffet
lunch which is served on the lodge's deck. Here are over 120
species of birds, and wildlife of emus, kangaroos and
wallabies to thrill all whilst on the deck. DEPARTURE: Daily - May to October, Tues.; Wed; Sat. & Sun. - (April & Nov - Mar).
