Observe Fraser's untamed wilderness, dramatic dunes, sub-tropical rainforests and crystal clear freshwater lakes while learning from your guide the many treasures that this island possesses.

Day 1
Your day starts with courtesy pick-up from your accommodation in Hervey Bay before boarding the 'Fraser Dawn' for a 45 minute cruise across the Great Sandy Straits. Spot diverse marine life on your journey across to Moon Point whilst listening to commentary from your guide.

Enjoy a tranquil rainforest walk through Yidney Rainforest amidst towering Satinays and Kauri Pines and observe the abundant wildlife and different varieties of birds this island substains.

After a buffet lunch we head to beautiful Eli Creek, visit the Maheno Shipwreck, marvel at the sand formations of the Coloured Sands, then travel onto Indian Head.
At Indian Head we walk on top of the headland and absorb the magnificent views and wildlife spotting.
We return to Fraser Island Retreat for a barbecue and salad dinner. Accommodation tonight is at the Fraser Island Retreat.

Day 2
After a Continental breakfast, we move south to Lake Wabby. A magnificent lake - the deepest on the Island which will eventually become a sandblow. A relaxing morning is spent here with the circuit walk taking approximately 1.5 hours. We enjoy a picnic lunch, then travel onto Lake Birrabeen where there is the opportunity to take a swim. Walk along Wangoolba Creek to Pile Valley before returning to Hervey Bay via River Heads.

DEPARTURE: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8.30 am from Urangan Boat Harbour. Times to be advised for courtesy pick-ups. Returns approximately 17.30 pm the following day.
