Your luxury touring coach will collect you from your hotel. Your five star coach is air-conditioned and restroom equipped. The tour commences from Cairns travelling through the picturesque Mulgrave Valley onto the Atherton Tablelands and Lake Barrine for morning tea (optional). Past Millstream Falls, the wildest in Australia, to Woodleigh Cattle Station for an old fashioned bush barbecue lunch.
A guided tour of the pioneer homestead and cattle yards is included. Next we pass through the Forty Mile Scrub National Park with its strange bottle trees and arrive at the mysterious Undara Lava Tubes where a guided tour is provided. It is majestic, dwarfing all that enter. Splashes of ochre, ormge, black and white complete nature's picture.
Overnight at Undara Lodge. Entrance fees, lunch and dinner are included today.

Day 2
Next morning we travel further west through Georgetown to, Croydon and view the historic remnants of a boom town of 30,000 in its heyday. We pass the old slagheaps and gold batteries and onto the Gulf Plains where wildlife abounds. Enjoy lunch at the local Croydon "Pub" and a tour of the town. Then board the Gulflander Train at Critters Camp and rattle down the tracks to the historic town of Normanton.
The Gulflander Train was build in 1950 and from 1972 until it arrived at Normanton Rail Station was used as the General Manager's Inspection car. It is an adventure to travel on the Gulflander, as no two journeys are ever the same. It is used to this day as a tourist attraction and a means of transportation for supplies and other materials to the remote stations that are located along the track. The Gulflander has no set stops, if the passengers want to stop, it's then entirely up to the people on board and your driver will happily show you his outback.
Then it is only a short journey to Karumba and enjoy a glass of champagne while watching the sunset over the Gulf of Carpentaria. Overnight accommodation is at Karumba Lodge. Entrance fees, breakfast, lunch and dinner are included today.

Day 3
Rising early is a must to see the sunrise and after a hearty breakfast, we commence our return journey to Cairns. Enjoy a guided tour and lunch here before heading back to Cairns.
