INDIVIDUAL TRAVELLERS &
SMALL PARTIES
At international standard level
there are choices of 5,4 and 3 star Farmstays. Accommodation
is either in the homestead or in a separate facility, guests
generally having private bath or en-suite facilities,
bedrooms have the choice of twin, double or family rooms.
Generally meals are with your host family. Guests are
invited to join in the everyday farm activity, some farms
have horse riding, 4WD tours and night wildlife safaris.
Every host farm offers a different holiday experience.
INCLUSIONS
Host farm operators meet and
complementary transfer guests from local air, rail or coach
terminals within 50km of the farm (except in outback
Australia).
All meals are inclusive in Australian Farmstays. Horse
riding may be an optional extra cost for individual
travellers.
Special meal requests are catered for at all host farms.
Refreshments are also inclusive (with the odd exception
where the farm has a liquor licence).
A tour of the farm is inclusive, hands on involvement in non
dangerous farm activities is offered to guests.
FARM TYPE
Guests may request the type of farm e.g. sheep, cattle,
grain, fruit, horse riding farm, etc. Every effort is made
to locate guests as requested.
MEDICAL
SERVICES
In country Australia access to hospitals, doctors and
pharmacy services are generally more accessible than in the
cities. Almost all towns down to populations of 1000 people
have a hospital, resident doctor, and area ambulance
service.
ACCESS
Access to farmstays from cities is by self drive, rail,
express coach or air services, hosts meet and transfer
guests on arrival/departure from local terminals. We provide
access details with reservation confirmation. A limited
number of hosts provide transfers inclusive from Melbourne,
Canberra, Cairns, Gold Coast and Adelaide.
LANGUAGE
This has not been a problem as hosts are familiar with
hosting guests from throughout the world. Some hosts are
multi lingual, please inquire for further
information.
