Welcome aboard 'Gretel', one of Australia's most famous sailing legends. An unforgettable day in September 1983 when Australia won the America's Cup!

Gretel was Australia's first ever entrant in the America's Cup and went on to become a significant part of Australian yachting history when she became the first yacht to win a heat off the Americans in 28 years and began the struggle to win the coveted Cup.
It is amazing to think that Gretel still holds the race record for the 24.3 mile America's Cup course.

Gretel now offers a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of sailing on this America's Cup legend taking you through one of the world's most extraordinary aquatic environments - the Whitsundays.

The Cruise.

Gretel will take you to the beautiful white silica sands of Whitehaven Beach, voted amongst the Top 10 Beaches in the World. Whitehaven is one of the 'must do' destinations of the Whitsunday Islands. Go for a swim, join in the fun of beach volleyball or cricket, walk to your heart's content or simply enjoy the breathtaking scenery. With 6 kilometers of broad shimmering white sandy beach to choose from, you're sure to find the perfect place to soak it all up.

Your hostess will prepare a delicious morning tea followed by a gourmet lunch consisting of seafood, cold smorgasbord, damper bread and a variety of salads.

On the way home, a cheese platter will be served as you sail past some of the regions most spectacular scenery. Yes, we cater for vegetarians, simply specify any dietary needs when booking. Beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks can be purchased on board at reasonable prices.
ProSail's free courtesy coach will collect and return you from a convenient location close to your mainland accommodation.
